Before I forget, I just want to say that my biochemistry professor is an motherfuckin' asshole piece of shit. Of all the fine science professors USC offers, Dr. Petruska is by far, the worst I have ever had. It's not only that he's incompetent at his job. (That seems to be a standard for the teachers at this institution.) It's the fact that he treats his students like imbeciles and tells us how stupid we are now compared to when he went to school. He keeps saying how we all all too dependent on computers now to do everything for us. Last time I checked, he's not giving us notes using a blackboard and sending us messages by by the post. What a fucking hypocrite.
But honestly, I would not mind any of this if he was actually semi decent at teaching the material. I may not have a PhD, but there seem to be some basic principles regarding how to teach a class that most professors and students have agreed upon. Have a syllabus, follow the syllabus, notify people of changes to the syllabus, test on what is in the lectures and syllabus. Wow, what an antiquated backwards way of thinking about education. Instead of doing this, why don't we just learn whatever you feel like teaching in class today, then on the exam, you can test us on whatever you want even if its five chapters away from what 's on the syllabus. I can see the light now; you are the Robespierre of teaching, leading the way towards an education revolution.
Oh, and another thing, Biochemistry is not a math class. I do not need to see proofs for every single problem; just do some examples and be done with it. And give us a fucking calculator for the test. Just because you think being able to calculate numbers in your head is important, doesn't mean the rest of us do.
BTW, Dr. P, Linus Pauling doesn't give a shit about you. I know you probably wack off to him, but he doesn't care and neither do we.
That's all... oh and fuck you.

asian soaps, backstreet boys, and other thoughts
So I'm pretty sure I am deevolutionizing. Instead of doing my homework, I've spent more time then I will admit to on youtube watching some stupid Tiwanese soap and (simultaneously) listening to BSB. In fact, this post is brought to you courtesy of my mind while on "Backstreet's Back." So really, I'm kinda lame and weird but that's cool. Everybody ah.... rock your body right...

My First Blog Entry

Hi I'm Ellen.... You may also know me as windowwatcher. Right now it is 1.21 am on President's day. Of course it is only fitting that my inaugural post comes on the same day that we are celebrating our countries leaders since I like to think of this blog as a leader of thought and provokation for our generation.
Anyways, yesterday I watched the 2008 Daytona 500. It was fun but my favorite driver Jimmie Johnson crashed and finished 27th. Oh well. Next week they are going to Fontana and I am going to be there! Squee!

Today I have to get all of my ochem and biochem homework done, go to SI, study for math and figure out how to ask for recommendations. But, like the name of my blog says, "whateverwhatever," somehow I'll figure out a way to get through it.
